Arial Unicode MS
Developed in 1982 by
Monotype and licensed to Microsoft® to include with Windows® in 1990,
Arial® has become one of the most widely recognized fonts in the world.
Arial, along with Times New Roman® and Courier™ New have become the de
facto font standard used in desktop publishing. While Monotype Imaging®
continues to own the Arial trademark and did all the development work for Arial
Unicode MS™, Microsoft retains exclusive license rights to this font
